About North-south, bottom

In north-south your opponent is lying on your chest facing your hips, with their head near your belt. It is a heavy pin, and the north-south choke and kimura can come quickly if you get careless with your arms.

Keep your elbows tight and don't let them isolate an arm. Frame on their hips, make space and turn to face them, or shrimp to bring your knees back between you. Once you are on your side the danger drops quickly.
